During the event celebrating its 10th Anniversary, Xiaomi unveiled the much-awaited flagship smartphone Mi 10 Ultra in China. The device is the newest addition to the Mi 10 series, which was launched earlier this year. The Mi 10 Ultra is quite similar to the existing Mi 10 Pro flagship in terms of design.
The smartphone has a ceramic back panel with a huge vertical module. It has a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch response rate of 240Hz. The display panel of the Mi 10 Ultra has an HDR10+ certification, Delta E <1, JNCD < 0.63, and a resolution of 2340x1080 pixels.
On the camera front, the Mi 10 Ultra packs a quad rear setup with a 48MP main camera (with a custom-manufactured image sensor), a 20MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP camera and a telephoto shooter with support for 120x ultra-zoom.
In addition to that, it has a flicker sensor and laser auto-focus. The entire camera setup has optical image stabilization (OIS). For selfies and video calling, the smartphone has a 20MP front camera. Under the hood, the Mi 10 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC coupled with 8, 12, or 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 128/256/512 GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device has a VC cooling system on board, and it runs on runs Android 10-based MIUI 12. The device comes with NFC, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi 6 along with the other usual connectivity options.
Mi 10 Ultra’s other standout feature is its super-fast charging speed. The company claims that it can charge the 4,500 mAh battery in just 20 minutes. Also, the 120W Mi Turbo Charge will be the fastest commercially available charging solution. Some of the other features on the device are dual stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint, and a USB Type-C port.
The Mi 10 Ultra is available in four configurations with a starting price of 5,299 yuan (₹ 56,899) in China. The 8GB+128GB variant will be available at 5,299 yuan (₹ 56,899), and the 8GB+256GB is priced at 5,599 yuan (₹ 60,100), while the 12GB+256GB variant of the smartphone is available at 5,999 yuan (₹ 64,400). And the 16GB+512GB storage variant is available at 6,999 yuan (₹ 75,150). The Mi 10 Ultra will be available in three different colours – silver, black, and transparent edition. The device will go on sale from August 16 in China.
