Xiaomi's latest teaser of the upcoming 14 Civi smartphone has confirmed that it will be launched on June 12 in India. Upon arrival, the Xiaomi 14 Civi will join the company's India lineup which already includes the Xiaomi 14 (Rs 69,999) and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra (Rs 99,999). This comes after Xiaomi cloned Apple's infamous Crush! iPad Pro ad, giving its own twist. That teaser, nevertheless, did not reveal much about the 14 Civi, save for the text 'Cinematic Vision' hinting at its imminent arrival on our market.
While Xiaomi has yet to drip-feed its specifications, the new Xiaomi 14 Civi is rumoured to be a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro, which made its China debut in March 2024. In China, the Civi 4 Pro is priced at CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs 35,000 in India) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. Import duties and taxes will likely result in a price increase, probably taking the price to around Rs 50,000 in the country. Despite this, the Xiaomi 14 Civi will be the most affordable option within the 14 lineup.

Given that the Xiaomi 14 Civi is based on the Civi 4 Pro, the features and technical specifications of the India-spec Civi phone will likely be similar to the China-spec device. Starting with a display, we expect a 6.55-inch AMOLED unit with a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Moreover, the display could also get 2,160Hz PWM Dimming, 3,000nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Other expected bits are an in-display fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster sensor, stereo speakers, and Dolby Atmos.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 14 Civi could get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 16GB of LPPDDR5x RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. For optics, the phone will most likely have a triple-camera setup at the back (a 50-megapixel primary camera with a Leica Summilux lens, a 50-megapixel 2X telephoto camera, and a 12-megapixel Omnivision OV13B10 ultra-wide sensor). The front section is expected to sport dual 32-megapixel cameras for selfies.
The battery is also expected to be the same 4,700mAh unit (with 67W wired fast charging) as the China-spec Civi 4 Pro. Like the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra, the upcoming device should run on Android 14-based HyperOS out-of-the-box.
The Xiaomi 14 Civi will be available for purchase on Flipkart, Xiaomi's official website, and offline retail stores. In terms of market competition, it will rival the OnePlus 12R and the iQOO 12 in India.
