China-based vivo has launched a new mid-range smartphone – the Y58 5G – in the Indian market. The vivo Y58 comes in a single 8GB + 128GB variant, priced at Rs 19,499. It goes on sale starting today across Flipkart, vivo eStore, and all partner retail stores. Early birds can avail of an instant cashback of Rs 1,500 using SBI, Yes Bank, Bank of Baroda, IDFC First, and IndusInd bank cards, among others. Moreover, vivo is offering a financing scheme, wherein consumers can own the Y58 at just ₹35 per day, along with benefits on V Shield protection. As for colour options, those interested can either choose Himalayan Blue or Sunderbans Green.
The vivo Y58 5G runs on the Android 14-based FunTouchOS 14 custom skin out-of-the-box. Powering the device is a large 6,000mAh battery pack with 44W wired fast charging support.
The display is a Full HD+ LCD panel measuring 6.72 inches in size. It comes with a 120Hz refresh rate, global DC dimming, 1,024 nits of peak brightness, and a TUV Rheinland certification. The processor, on the other hand, is a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 unit with Adreno 613 GPU. With the processor, you get 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The former can be further extended by up to 8GB.
On the back, there is a 50-megapixel AI-enhanced primary camera, a 2-megapixel bokeh sensor, and an LED flash. The front, meanwhile, features an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video chats. Other features are Multi-style portrait mode, Super Night camera mode, and Photo Border.
The new vivo Y58 measures 8mm in thickness and tips the scales at 199 grams. It has an IP64 rating for splash and dust resistance, not to mention a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.
