Vivo has launched the Y300 5G smartphone in India. The launch comes a month after the company introduced its higher-end Y300 Plus, which gets a Snapdragon 695 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Starting at Rs 21,900 (excluding sale offers), the Vivo Y300 is a successor to the Y200 and comes in two configurations – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. While pre-orders went live yesterday (November 21) and will continue until November 25, sales will commence on November 26 through Flipkart, Amazon, Vivo India's e-store, and partner retail channels. With an instant cashback of Rs 2,000 on select bank cards, the new Y300 can be had at Rs 19,999. The top-end 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs 21,999, which includes the flat discount.
To take advantage of the Vivo TWS 3e wireless earbuds available at a discounted price of Rs 1,499, buyers will need to buy the Y300. Vivo says this offer is valid from November 21 to November 30, 2024, and can be availed on Flipkart, Amazon, and in-store only. It does not apply to the Vivo e-store.

The Vivo Y300 has a sleek design with a high-gloss metal-like frame. It houses an AMOLED punch-hole display measuring 6.67 inches. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring what the company says is a smooth and responsive user experience. It also gets an SGS certification for low blue light emission. The back panel is available in three striking shades: Titanium Silver, Emerald Green, and Phantom Purple. According to Vivo, the Titanium Silver variant takes inspiration from the refined look of titanium and gives out a 'dazzling diamond-like starry texture' when illuminated by a flashlight.
Underneath the skin, the Vivo Y300 gets a 4nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. An option to virtually expand RAM by 8GB is also available. That can be done through the company's Extended RAM 3.0 feature. Powering the smartphone is a 5,000mAh battery with 80W FlashCharge for fast charging. Vivo promises four years of battery health and 24-dimension security protection.
On the back, the device features a dual-camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor and a 2-megapixel Bokeh lens for portrait shots. The Y300 also comes with a 2x portrait mode for minimising distortion and enhancing facial features, as well as an AI Aura Light. The latter adjusts the colour temperature in low-light conditions. Other bits include AI Supermoon, Super Night Algorithm, and smart AI features such as AI Erase and AI Enhance. The front end has a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. It also gets a dual-view video mode allowing simultaneous recording with both front and rear cameras.

The Y300 runs on Android 14-based FuntouchOS 14, and gets an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. It boasts a 0.779cm ultra-slim body and weighs 188 grams.
