The V30e, Vivo's latest V series smartphone, is scheduled to launch on May 2 in India. Upon arrival on our market, it will join the V30 and V30 Pro in the model lineup. The new Vivo V30e will not just be limited to India, but will also be sold in more international markets like Malaysia and Indonesia.
The India-spec Vivo V30e is confirmed to have a textured ribbon design as well as a 'gem-cut' camera module (with dual lenses and a flash), quite identical to the round camera module on the OnePlus 12 and the Realme 12 series. The upcoming V30e will come in two configurations – 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB – positioning it below the Vivo V30 (Rs 33,999 to Rs 38,999). As for its colour options, there will be a choice between Velvet Red and Silk Blue. We expect the smartphone to go on sale in the country in the second week of May.
Under the hood, the Vivo V30e is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. In terms of software, it is likely to run on Android 14-based FutouchOS 14. It is IP64-rated for dust and water resistance.
While the Vivo V30e is confirmed to feature an ultra-slim 3D curved display on the front, it could be a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED unit with a 120Hz refresh rate. Other confirmed bits include smart colour temperature adjustment, aura light 2x portrait, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882, and a 50-megapixel selfie camera.
Speaking of the optics, the V30e's dual rear camera setup will comprise a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 portrait sensor with 50mm prime focal length and 2x optical zoom, as well as a secondary sensor with aura light. Moreover, a 50-megapixel selfie AI-backed selfie camera sensor will be available at the front with autofocus.
Last but not least, the smartphone's battery will be a 5,500mAh unit with 44W wired fast charging. Vivo says its new V30e will be the slimmest smartphone in India to feature a 5500mAh battery. The phone will likely have a thickness of 7.69mm.
The Vivo V30e will be sold through Flipkart and Vivo India online and offline stores. Price-wise, we expect the India-spec V30e to cost north of Rs 25,000, although the official announcement is yet to be made.
