Vivo has expanded its V-Series of smartphone lineup by unveiling the Vivo V17 in India. The phone sports a quad camera setup on the back and a punch-hole display. Vivo is calling it as the iView Display that is powered by an E3 Super AMOLED panel. The phone is priced at Rs 22,990 for the lone 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The smartphone can be purchased in Midnight Ocean (Black) and Glacier Ice (White) colours. It will go on sale starting December 17 and those interested in purchasing it can now pre-book the device.
The Vivo V17 features a 6.44-inch full-HD+ E3 Super AMOLED iView Display that has 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. The display panel also has 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut and is designed to filter out 42 percent of blue light. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone runs Funtouch OS 9.2 baked atop Android 9 Pie.
In the camera department, the phone has a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.8 lens, an 8MP sensor with f/2.2 lens, a 2MP sensor with f/2.4 lens for bokeh effect, and another 2MP sensor with a f/2.4 macro lens. On the front is a 32MP selfie camera with f/2.45 lens. Preloaded camera features include Super Night mode, Ultra Stable Video, AR Stickers, and AI HDR among others. The smartphone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor, and packs a 4,500mAh battery.
