Sony India has launched its entry-level soundbar HT-S20R with Dolby Audio at a price of Rs 14,990 in India. The company says that its engineers conducted research and took feedback from consumers to specially design the soundbar for Indian consumers. The soundbar offers 5.1 channel surround sound and is equipped with Dolby Audio delivering high-quality sound with 400W power output.
Its rear speakers and external subwoofer work with a 3-channel soundbar. It comes with bluetooth for music streaming, and USB plug & play support. The HT-S20R supports HDMI ARC which lets customers connect it with compatible TV’s with a single cable. For non-HDMI compatible TV’s, the HT-S20R offers the option of connecting to the optical input or analogue input.
The remote of the soundbar comes with various functions. A user can choose the button which is right for what he/she is watching. It also allows one to pick the mode from Auto, Standard, Cinema and Music that best suits the content being played. There is an option selecting Night and Voice modes and use the subwoofer control to fine tune viewing and listening experience. The HT-S20R will be available from February 7 across all Sony Center, major electronic stores and e-commerce portals in India.
