Japanese tech giant Sony has launched the IPX4-rated neckband speaker in India, the Bravia Theatre U. The Sony Bravia Theatre U wearable neckband-styled speaker has a lightweight construction with adjustable, cushioned materials. It encompasses an immersive audio experience when connected to a Bravia TV. The new Sony Bravia Theatre U is priced at Rs 24,990. Sales are underway across Sony Center stores, Sony authorised dealers, e-commerce websites (Amazon and Flipkart), and other major electronic stores.
The Sony Bravia Theatre U neckband speaker packs in an X-Balanced Speaker Unit and noise cancellation technologies. This, combined with Dolby Atmos and 360-degree Spatial Sound support, helps deliver a surround sound experience. The Theatre U is said to be a comfortable and secure fit that assures minimal discomfort while using the product for hours. It can securely fit around your neck and shoulders.

The Sony Bravia Theatre U can be charged through a fast charger, and an extra hour of playtime can be achieved with just 10 minutes of charging. The Bravia Theatre U is IPX4-rated, thereby offering splash and sweat resistance. It has a battery life of up to 12 hours on a single charge.
In addition, Sony offers multipoint connectivity, which paves the way for the Bravia Theatre U to connect to different devices at the same time. This allows users to easily switch between media on either end. The device supports Bluetooth 5.2, along with SBC, AAC, and LDAC audio codecs.

The neckband speaker weighs 268 grams and measures 235 x 48 x 178mm in size.
