Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024: Samsung Electronics is set to host its much-anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10 in Paris, France – where it will announce its latest Galaxy Z series smartphones, integrated with Galaxy AI. While the names of the devices are yet to be revealed, they could be the next-generation Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.
'The next frontier of Galaxy AI is coming. Prepare to discover the power of Galaxy AI, now infused into the latest Galaxy Z series and the entire Galaxy ecosystem. Get ready for a world of possibilities as we enter a new phase of mobile AI,' Samsung noted in its blog post. Starting today, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, as well as a couple of other devices can be pre-reserved on the company's official website at Rs 1,999 (refundable). Other devices could be the Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds 3, and the Galaxy Ring. Also, a new set of Galaxy Tab S10 tablets is on the cards.

Intriguingly, the Galaxy Unpacked event will take place ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics scheduled from July 26 to August 11, 2024. It will be live-streamed on Samsung’s website, Samsung Newsroom, and Samsung’s YouTube channel at 3 pm CEST, 6 am PDT, 9 am EDT, and 6:30 pm IST.
Based on the leaks and speculations, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 could sport a 7.6-inch internal Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and a 6.3-inch external Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, both with a 120Hz refresh rate. The former will likely support a resolution of 2160 x 1856 pixels, while the latter will have 2376 x 968 pixels. For optics, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 may feature a 50-megapixel main OIS sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto unit with 3x zoom. As for its processor, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The battery could be a 4,400mAh unit with 25W charging speed.
Coming to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, users can expect a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2640 x 1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Its cover display could measure 3.4 inches in size and support a resolution of 720 x 748 pixels. The device is expected to share its chipset with the Galaxy Z Fold 6, while the camera setup will likely comprise a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10-megapixel front-facing camera without autofocus.
Going by China’s 3C certification site, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 and the Watch Ultra are expected to come with 10W charging support. If this turns out to be true, then the battery capacity of both wearables would be the same as the Galaxy Watch 6 series. The Galaxy Watch 7 will be a new smartphone with advanced health monitoring capabilities and tighter integration with other Galaxy devices like smartwatches, tablets, and smart home products, while the Watch Ultra will be a higher-end variant of the standard Galaxy Watch. The latter is said to rival Apple's top-spec Watch Ultra. Both watches will likely feature BioActive Sensor 2 and run on the latest One UI-flavoured Wear OS.

The Galaxy Buds 3 series is expected to have Galaxy AI support, adaptive EQ, noise-cancelling tech, new audio drivers, an IP57 rating, and a longer battery life. The Galaxy Ring, on the other hand, is rumoured to be a smart ring packed with health- and fitness-tracking features, including sleep monitoring and heart rate tracking, among other things. It will likely come in different sizes and offer a multi-day battery life.
