Samsung today launched the Galaxy Tab S6, Galaxy Watch 4G and Galaxy Watch Active 2 in India. The Tab S6 is the flagship tablet that comes with a new S Pen, an improved keyboard (with a built-in track pad and a dedicated DeX key) and new features in the DeX mode.
Galaxy Tab S6
With remote control functionality and wireless charging capabilities, the S Pen on Galaxy Tab S6 acts as a powerful tool for creating notes or to browse the device. Handwritten Samsung Notes can be converted to digital text and exported to formats like Microsoft Word with just one click. With the transparent notes feature, users can take notes while watching a video. The S-Pen can now be attached to the device via magnetic pin.
With the Samsung DeX integrated into the Galaxy Tab S6, users can easily multitask and optimise their viewing experience on a larger screen. With a DeX function key added to Galaxy Tab S6’s new keyboard cover, users can launch and close DeX with the tap of a key. The keyboard has been fine-tuned for better functionality, including a trackpad, a free angle stand and a dedicated indent for the S Pen.
The Galaxy Tab S6 has a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display. The device measures 5.7mm and weighs only 420 grams. The tablet is powered by the Qualcomm 855 processor and offers a 13MP main camera and a 5MP ultra-wide camera, along with live focus capabilities.
Galaxy Watch 4G and Watch Active 2
With advanced wellness and fitness tracking features, the Galaxy Watch 4G helps you achieve health goals as well as answer calls, respond to text messages, use GPS mapping, stream music and more, all from the wrist, and all without a smartphone in the pocket. You can also set reminders, stay updated on weather and their latest schedule.
The watch automatically tracks six of the most popular exercises – walking, running, cycling, elliptical machine, rowing, and dynamic workouts, and features 21 new indoor exercises from a selection of 39 activities. The Galaxy Watch 4G is currently compatible with Samsung smartphones and will work on the Airtel and Jio networks.
The Galaxy Watch Active 2 features a 44mm design and comes in two variants – lightweight aluminum case with a casual sport band and premium solid stainless steel case with a leather band. The rotating touch bezel turns both clockwise and counter clockwise to move across screens so users can easily select their favourite apps.
The Watch Active 2 can manually track over 39 workouts with seven of them getting activated automatically— including running, walking, cycling, swimming, rowing machine, elliptical machine and dynamic workouts.
Price and availability
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 comes in Mountain Gray and Cloud Blue colours. It will be available in stores and online from October 11 at Rs 59,900 along with exciting introductory offers of up to Rs 5,000 cashback for HDFC Bank credit and debit card owners. The keyboard cover is also being offered at an introductory price of Rs 5,499 against Rs 10,999 and six month paid membership to YouTube Premium.
The Galaxy Watch Active2 comes with a 44mm dial and in two material variants – stainless steel and aluminum. The Watch Active 2 Steel comes in silver, black and gold finish at Rs 31,990 while the Watch Active 2 Aluminum comes in black, rose gold and cloud silver finish at Rs 26,990. The Galaxy Watch 4G will be available from October 11 in both 46mm and 42mm variants at Rs 30,990 and Rs 28,490, respectively.
