Samsung today debuted two new budget-end smartphones – the Galaxy M11 and Galaxy M01 – in India, both of which belong to the M-series. While the Samsung Galaxy M11 was announced earlier this year in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Galaxy M01 has been added to the brand's portfolio for the first time.
The main highlight of the Galaxy M11 is the 6.4-inch HD+ Infinity-O Display panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. There's an 8MP selfie shooter that sits in a hole punch cutout at the top left corner of the display. Speaking of cameras, the M11 houses a triple camera setup at the rear, which includes a 13MP primary lens, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.
Further, the smartphone comes powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM. In terms of connectivity, the M11 comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is backed up by a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast-charging via USB-C. The smartphone runs on Android 10-based Samsung's OneUI 2.0 skin out-of-the-box.
As for the pricing, the Galaxy M11 starts at ₹10,999 for the 3GB+32GB variant going all the way up to ₹12,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant. You can grab the Galaxy M11 in black, metallic blue, and violet on Amazon, Flipkart, Samsung’s online store, and other offline stores starting today.
Among the two, the Galaxy M01 has lower specs. Unlike the M11, the Galaxy M01 features a 5.71-inch HD+ TFT LCD display with a waterdrop notch, which houses a 5MP selfie camera. At the back, the smartphone comes with a dual-camera setup, including a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor.
The M01 packs the Snapdragon 439 chipset, coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. It, too, comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack support. Moreover, the smartphone packs a 4,000mAh battery but misses out on fast charging support. It also misses out on a USB-C port, as Samsung has used the older micro-USB port to keep the costs in check. In terms of software, it, too, runs on Android 10 with OneUI 2.0 skin on top.
The Galaxy M01 comes in a single 3GB+32GB variant, which is priced at ₹8,999. You can purchase the M01 on Amazon, Flipkart, Samsung’s online store, and other offline stores in black, blue, or red colours, starting today.
