Samsung has launched the Galaxy M05, the latest edition in its Galaxy M series in India, designed for those who want a high-performance smartphone at an affordable price. Commenting on the launch, Rahul Pahwa, Director, MX Business, Samsung India said, 'Galaxy M05 is designed for young consumers who demand more from their smartphones. It will be on sale at select retail locations across India as well as on platforms like Amazon and Samsung.com. This latest offering from Samsung is a compelling choice for individuals looking for a premium entry-level smartphone since it offers a blend of cutting-edge features and affordability. 

Samsung Galaxy M05: Specs and Features

An HD+ (720x1,600 pixels) PLS LCD display measuring 6.74 inches is featured on the dual-SIM (Nano) Galaxy M05. With 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage, the phone is driven by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. A microSD card slot allows the built-in storage to be expanded by up to 1TB. Moreover, virtual memory expansion up to 8GB is possible with Samsung's RAM Plus functionality. The Galaxy M05 has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W rapid charging. It weighs 195 gm, and it measures 168.8 x 78.2 x 8.8mm in size.

A 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture make up the dual rear camera unit on Samsung's Galaxy M05. There is an 8-megapixel, 2.0-aperture camera on the front for taking selfies and video calling. Notably, the device will come with two years of OS upgrades and four years of security updates.

The Galaxy M05 boasts 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo, a 3.5mm headphone socket, and a USB Type-C port among its connectivity options. There are three sensors on board: a light sensor, a proximity sensor, and an accelerometer. It also has face unlock functionality for authentication.
