Samsung has launched its Galaxy F55 5G smartphone in the Indian market. The device is a rebranded version of the Galaxy C55 5G, which made its China debut last month. At a starting price of Rs 24,999 effective from May 27, the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G offers a powerful Snapdragon 7 Gen1 processor, a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging, and a Super AMOLED+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Marketed as the 'lightest vegan leather smartphone of 2024', the new Galaxy F55 5G is Samsung's first smartphone to feature a vegan leather design (with a saddle stitch pattern), although this is nothing new given that brands such as Realme, iQoo, and Motorola already retail models with this finish.
The Samsung Galaxy F55 can be had in three variants (8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB) and two colours (Apricot Crush and Raisin Black). Speaking of the variants, the base 8GB+128GB is priced at Rs 26,999, while the mid-spec 8GB+256GB and the top-spec 12GB+256GB cost Rs 29,999 and Rs 32,999, respectively. However, for early birds, a Rs 2,000 instant discount on select bank cards can help bring down these prices to a minimum of Rs 24,999 for the base variant.
