After giving us a sneak peek at the Galaxy Unpacked event last month, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Fold2 5G in the international markets soon after. As of today, Samsung has announced the India pricing of this much-anticipated successor to the original Galaxy Fold.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G's price in India is set at ₹1,49,999 for the sole 12GB+256GB version. Surprisingly, the Galaxy Z Fold2 5G is priced lower than the original Galaxy Fold, which made its India debut at ₹1,64,999 earlier last year. It will be available in two shades – mystic black and mystic bronze. Moreover, it will be up for pre-orders starting September 14 on Samsung's online store and major offline retail stores.
On the specifications front, the Galaxy Z Fold2 5G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of in-built storage. It features two displays, of which the outer display is a 6.23-inch HD+ OLED panel, while the display on the inside is a 7.6-inch Full-HD+ foldable OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.
In addition to that, the foldable phone comes equipped with five cameras in total, where the back panel houses a triple camera setup (12MP primary, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 12MP telephoto camera), and each display gets a 10MP selfie camera located in a hole-punch cutout.
Other than that, the second-gen folding phone comes with a 4,500mAh battery, with 25W wired fast-charging and 11W fast wireless charging support via USB-C. It will, of course, feature 5G connectivity, along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and support for 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth v5.0.
