Redmi has expanded its Note series by launching the Note 9 Pro and the Note 9 Pro Max smartphones in India. These smartphones have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G mobile platforms and Qualcomm’s NavIC technology, which provides accurate real-time positioning and timing services. The Redmi phones have now joined the league of a few smartphones that come equipped with this tech. Both the phones have Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back with P2i, splash-proof nano-coating.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max will be available in 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 128GB storage variants for Rs 14,999, Rs 16,999, and Rs 18,999, respectively. Those who wish to purchase the phone can get it from mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Homes, and Mi Studios starting March 25.
Those who wish to purchase the Redmi Note 9 Pro can get the device in 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB storage variants for Rs 12,999 and Rs 15,999, respectively across mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Homes, and Mi Studios starting March 17. Both the devices will also be available in interstellar black, aurora blue, and glacier white colours across all offline partner stores soon.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max features a 6.67-inch FHD+ punch-hole display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. As mentioned, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, which is manufactured using the 8nm fabrication process. The phone houses a massive 5020mAh battery and comes with a 33W fast charger in the box.
Redmi Note 9 Pro Max features a quad-camera setup with 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with a 119-degree field of view, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front is a 32MP sensor with AI Face Unlock. The camera has Super Stabilisation on both the main and the wide-angle sensors. The 5MP macro sensor enables video recording at 1080p.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro sports the same display and processor as the Pro Max variant – a 6.67-inch FHD+ punch-hole display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset. The primary difference between the two models is the camera. Redmi Note 9 Pro has a 48MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM2 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro sensor. For selfie, there’s a 16MP sensor at the front. The Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 5020mAh battery, and an 18W fast charger in the box.
