Realme's next launch for the Indian market is the P1 5G series, which consists of the P1 5G and the P1 Pro 5G. Realme says the 'P' in the name stands for "Power", indicating that the upcoming smartphones will be performance-oriented. While the launch is slated for April 15, here's what you need to know about the Realme P1 5G lineup:
Let's start with the entry-level product – the Realme P1 5G. According to the company's official website, the P1 5G will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset with a seven-layer VC cooling system. Realme says it will be the first smartphone in the segment to get a 120Hz flat AMOLED display with 2,000 nits of peak brightness level and TUV Rheinland eye-protection certification. Other bits are three rear camera sensors, an LED flash unit, and a centred hole-punch slot. The P1 5G will be a sub-Rs 15,000 smartphone, and will come in two colour options: Peacock Green and Phoenix Red.
On the other hand, the top-spec Realme P1 Pro 5G will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset with a 3D VC cooling system. It will run on a 5,000mAh battery supported by a 45W wired fast charger. Confirmed to be priced under Rs 20,000, the P1 Pro 5G will feature a 120Hz curved AMOLED screen with 2,160Hz PWM dimming rate, 2,000 nits peak brightness level, ProXDR support, and TUV certification. In optics, the Realme P1 Pro 5G will sport dual rear camera sensors, an LED flash unit, and a centred hole-punch slot to accommodate the front camera sensor. Upon arrival, it will be available in Parrot Blue and Phoenix Red colours.
The commonalities between the P1 5G and the P1 Pro 5G will include a glossy finish rear panel, a raised circular rear camera module, 45W wired SuperVOOC charging, and Rainwater Touch that enables users to use the device with wet hands or during rainy weather. Designed exclusively for the Indian market, the Realme P1 5G lineup will go on sale in India only through Flipkart.
