Realme has announced that its upcoming 14 Pro 5G series, including the 14 Pro and 14 Pro+ models will get a temperature-sensitive, colour-changing rear cover. The rear panels of the new smartphones are coated with cutting-edge thermochromic pigments that react to shifts in temperature. As temperatures dip below 16°C, the back cover transforms dramatically from a sleek pearl white to a bold, vibrant blue.
Smartphones with colour-shifting back panels, such as the Tecno Camon 19 Mondrian and Vivo V23, have been around for a long. They change colour in response to UV or sunshine. However, Realme's new 14 Pro 5G Series with a cold-sensitive colour-changing design takes a different approach and marks a significant advancement in the industry. The smartphone series draws inspiration from the tranquil beauty of the ocean with its Unique Pearl Design. The Pearl White edition boasts a sophisticated, shell-like texture crafted using organic seashell powder. Its ultra-slim, sub-8mm quad-curved profile, and matte finish add to the overall look. Realme states that the Pearl White pattern is the result of an intricate fusion fibre process, carefully crafted through more than 30 meticulous steps, and bio-based materials.
Features-wise, the Realme 14 Pro+ 5G gets a quad-curved display, a first in its segment, offering an expansive 93.8% screen-to-body ratio with ultra-slim bezels. It has a triple-camera setup with the MagicGlow triple flash system.

In terms of performance, the Realme 14 Pro series is said to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. It will boast impressive IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for superior dust and water resistance.
