At a virtual event today, Poco has launched the M2 in the Indian market. As its name implies, the Poco M2 is a toned-down version of the Poco M2 Pro, which was launched in India a couple of months back.
Starting with its specifications, the smartphone is built around a 6.53-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. As far as the cameras are concerned, the M2 gets an 8MP selfie shooter at the front, followed by a quad-camera setup at the back consisting of a 13MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.
The smartphone comes powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC coupled with Mali G52 GPU and 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM. It gets up to 128GB of in-built storage, which is expandable via microSD. Moreover, the phone runs on Android-10 based MIUI 11 with Poco Launcher on top. Other highlights include a 5,000mAh battery – which supports 18W fast charging via USB-C –3.5mm headphone jack, dual-band Wi-Fi, dual VoLTE support, 4G, and Bluetooth v5.0 support.
As for its price, the Poco M2 is available starting at ₹10,999 for the base 6GB+64GB variant. The higher-spec 6GB+128GB variant, on the other hand, costs ₹12,499. It will go on sale starting September 15, exclusively on Flipkart in three colours – pitch black, slate blue, and brick red.
