After making waves in the Indian smartphone market with the shark-fin rising camera, Chinese phone maker Oppo is now planning to launch the second iteration of its Oppo Reno smartphone.
The Oppo Reno 2 is expected to come with four rear cameras that will offer 20x zooming capabilities. Oppo will launch the Reno 2 in India on August 28. The company has also teased an image that shows a vertically-placed quad-camera setup at the back. Additionally, it will have an in-display fingerprint sensor and will be powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 700 series processors.
According to media reports, the Oppo Reno 2 will sport a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. At the back, there will be a 48MP f/1.7 primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, an 13MP telephoto lens and an 2MP monochrome shooter. The smartphone will be fuelled by the a large 4,065mAh battery with VOOC fast charging support.
Oppo Reno is priced at Rs 49,990 for the 8GB+256 GB variant and the 6GB+128GB variant costs Rs 39,990. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. We believe, the Oppo Reno 2 will be priced in the similar price range.
According to International Data Corporation, Oppo witnessed a year-on-year growth of 41 per cent thanks to the affordable A series including A3s, A1K and A5s. Online channel sales accounted for 19.1 per cent for the vendor-driven by online exclusive model K1.
