OPPO has launched the Reno 12 series in India after the device's global debut in June. Offered in three different configurations – 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB, the OPPO Reno 12 smartphone starts at Rs 32,999 and goes up to Rs 40,999. With up to Rs 4,000 instant cashback on select bank cards, the smartphone's starting price reduces to Rs 28,999. On July 25, the standard Reno 12 will go on sale in India through OPPO's official website, Flipkart, and other retail channels. This device will come in the following colour options: Sunset Peach, Matte Brown, and Astro Silver. Those seeking the top-spec Reno 12 Pro can purchase it in either Space Brown or Sunset Gold colour. The Pro version will be available from July 18.

Under the skin, both devices have a 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy processor with Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. They offer up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage. The latter can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card. The Reno 12 series runs on Android 14-based ColorOS 14.1 with three years of OS upgrades and four years of security fixes.
The OPPO Reno 12 series features a 6.7-inch Quad Curved Infinite View FHD+ display with HDR10+ support, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,200 nits peak brightness. The standard gets Gorilla Glass 7i protection, while the Pro comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
OPPO claims the 12 series has 'all-round armour protection technology' for enhanced drop and impact resistance. The armour architecture also includes a high-strength alloy framework, made of copper, magnesium, and silicon metals. That, according to OPPO, offers a sturdy and corrosion-resistant build that meets aerospace quality standards. The devices are IP65-rated for dust and splash resistance.
For optics, the Reno 12 has a triple-camera rear setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. On the front, it features a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. On the other hand, the 12 Pro has a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom and up to 20x digital zoom. The front camera is a 50-megapixel unit.
The Reno 12 series is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. It also offers a host of cloud-based AI (artificial intelligence) features such as AI Eraser 2.0, AI Clear Face, AI Best Face, AI Speak, AI Smart Image Matting 2.0, AI Toolbox, and AI Studio.
