Oppo has launched two new smartphones in its Find X2 Series: the Find X2 and the Find X2 Pro. The Chinese tech giant has always implemented the next-gen tech in its Find Series. With its last offering in the series, the Find X, the company offered a motorised mechanism that had front and back cameras. This allowed it to have an edge-to-edge display. This year’s smartphones have displays with a 120Hz refresh rate and a camera with 10x hybrid zoom & up to 60x digital zoom.
The Oppo X2 is priced at EUR 999 (approximately Rs 83,500) for the 12GB/256GB and is offered in black ceramic and ocean glass colour options. The Pro variant has a price tag of EUR 1,199 (approx Rs 1,00,000) for the 12GB/512GB model. It is offered in black ceramic and orange vegan leather colours. Currently, the phones are on sale in Europe, and there is no information whether these phones will be launched in India or not.
The Oppo Find X2 features a 6.7-inch QHD+ Ultra Vision display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The 3K panel has a resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6. It comes with a punch-hole in the top left corner and an under-display fingerprint sensor. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset and has a 4200 mAh battery and a 64-watt fast charger (SuperVOOC 2.0).
The rear triple-camera setup houses a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor with OIS, a 12MP secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens that supports 120-degree Field of View, and a 13MP sensor with a telephoto lens with 5x Hybrid Zoom. On the front is a 32MP sensor. The Oppo Find X2 has IP58 water and dust resistant rating, and it runs ColorOS 7.1 based on Android 10.
The Oppo Find X2 Pro sports the same 6.7-inch QHD+ Ultra Vision display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel used in the smartphone is the same as in the non-Pro variant and gets the same Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection & under-display fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, the Oppo Find X2 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC and is fueled by a 4260 mAh battery. It comes with a 64-watt fast charger (SuperVOOC 2.0). The Pro variant has IP68 water and dust resistant rating. It runs ColorOS 7.1 based on Android 10.
The main difference between the two smartphones is the camera setup. The Find X2 Pro has a 48MP Sony IMX689 primary sensor with 7P Lens and OIS. The secondary sensor is the 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens having 120-degree Field of View. The third is a 13MP sensor with a Periscope Telephoto lens that offers 5X optical zoom, 10X hybrid zoom, and up to 60X digital zoom. On the front is a 32MP sensor 5P Lens. The Oppo Find X2 Pro has also become the top camera smartphone with highest DXOMark rating. It secured 124 points for its camera's performance, dethroning the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro.
