OnePlus has announced the prices of the new tablet – the Pad 2 – at its Summer Launch event in Milan, Italy. Launched alongside the OnePlus Nord 4 smartphone, OnePlus Buds 3 Pro, and OnePlus Watch 2R, the OnePlus Pad 2 is a direct successor to the OnePlus Pad. While the new product features the same design, it comes with a host of upgrades compared to the outgoing model. Price-wise, the OnePlus Pad 2 starts at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and goes up to Rs 42,999 for the top-spec 12GB + 256GB variant. Tagging along with the tablet are the Stylo 2 and the Smart Keyboard. The former, priced at Rs 5,499, features hyper-realistic pen-tip vibration and uses 16,000 pressure sensitivity levels for a life-like writing experience. The latter, on the other hand, has an expansive touch-sensitive area as well as an updated adjustable tilt, ranging from 110 to 165 degrees. It is offered at Rs 8,499.

The Stylo 2 and the Smart Keyboard will be sold separately. The OnePlus Pad 2 runs on Android 14-based OxygenOS and boasts productivity-focussed AI tools such as AI Speak, AI Summarise, AI Writer, and Recording Summary. It can be had in one colour only – Nimbus Gray. Starting August 1, 2024, the tablet goes on sale in the country through Amazon and OnePlus' online portal.
Weighing 584 grams, the OnePlus Pad 2 has a slim 6.49mm metal unibody design. Underneath the skin, the second-generation OnePlus Pad 2 gets the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The display is a 12.1-inch LCD panel with symmetrical bezels on all sides. It also gets 3,000 x 2,120 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 900 nits, along with support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Six stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos offer an immersive audio experience.
At the back, the tablet sports a circular camera module, housing 13-megapixel and 8-megapixel dual cameras, while there is a 16-megapixel selfie shooter at the front. Powering the tablet is a large 9,510mAh battery unit with support for 67W SUPERVOOC charging and a claimed charging time of 81 minutes. OnePlus says the tablet comes with an 'impressive standby time of up to 43 days, empowering users to bring their tablet wherever they want, without worrying about battery life'.

Connectivity options include NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, and a USB-C charging port. While the sale will commence on August 1, OnePlus has already begun accepting pre-orders for the tablet.
