Having officially announced it earlier this month, OnePlus has finally launched the Nord at a first-of-its-kind AR launch event today. The OnePlus Nord will be first available in India and Europe instead of the US.
On the specifications front, the OnePlus Nord comes powered by the 5G-enabled Snapdragon 765G SoC, coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of built-in storage. Moreover, the Nord features a 6.44-inch display with 1,080 x 2,400 pixels resolution, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and a 90Hz refresh rate.
In addition, the smartphone features a dual-camera punch-hole cutout at the top left corner of the display, which houses a 32MP primary selfie shooter and an 8MP ultra-wide shooter. Speaking of cameras, the Nord comes with a 48MP primary shooter – the same as the OnePlus 8 – along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera.
The Nord comes with a decent 4,115mAh battery, which can be juiced up by Warp Charge 30T fast-charging via USB-C. The Nord runs on Android 10 out-of-the-box with OxygenOS 10.5 on top. OnePlus says that the Nord will receive major OS updates for two years and security updates for three years.
Now, as for the pricing, OnePlus has priced the Nord very aggressively, with the base 6GB + 64GB version retailing at ₹24,999, and the higher-spec 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB priced at ₹27,999 and ₹29,999, respectively. The Nord, like the OnePlus Buds, will be available starting August 4 as an Amazon exclusive in two colours - grey onyx and blue marble.
