OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 7T Series of smartphones at an event scheduled for 4pm BST (8.30pm IST) in London. The company is expected to announce two phones of which one is confirmed to be the special McLaren Edition device. According to the reports making rounds on the internet, the Chinese tech giant is expected to launch a vanilla OnePlus 7T Pro and OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition. The latter is likely to come with carbon fiber back and orange accents like we saw in last year’s OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition handset.
OnePlus has been teasing the launch on Twitter and it also has a dedicated page for the OnePlus 7T series on Amazon India website. As mentioned, the OnePlus 7T Series launch event may the debut of two smartphones. One of which is likely to be the OnePlus 7T Pro, which could come with an incremental upgrades to the already premium OnePlus 7 Pro. The other is confirmed to be a McLaren Edition device, however, it is yet to be seen what changes will the company bring in this particular device.
Rumour mill suggests that the phone will have 12GB of RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0 storage, and some sort of fast charging tech. For the McLaren Edition, the company has tied-up with British motor racing company McLaren for the second time, and the idea of this device revolves around speed. It is highly likely that the phone will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset, which is an overclocked version of the US-based chipmaker’s flagship Snapdragon 855 mobile platform. OnePlus may also announce the availability of the OnePlus 7T in Europe. The phone was launched in India last month.

As far as the price is concerned, it’s for sure that to purchase the McLaren Edition, users have to shell out more bucks than for the vanilla Pro variant. The OnePlus 7T Pro, on the other hand, could be priced a bit more than the OnePlus 7 Pro. To recall, OnePlus 7 Pro was launched at a starting price of Rs 48,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant was made available for Rs 52,999 and the top-end 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model got a price tag of Rs 57,999.
