OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has revealed the first look of the upcoming OnePlus 7T smartphone on Twitter. He also revealed that the phone will sport the 4th generation matte-frosted glass. Lau only revealed the design from the back and there is no information whether there are any changes to the display design. The smartphone will be announced in India on September 26 and a OnePlus 7T Series Launch Event will also take place at the Magazine London Theater in London on October 10 at 16:00 BST (8.30 p.m. IST).
The image shared by Lau shows a blue-coloured phone with gradient design carrying a circular rear camera module that houses three sensors and an LED flash. The cameras are placed side-by-side horizontally and the dual-LED flash is situated just below the sensor in the centre. In the image we can also see the volume rocker on the left side, and the power button and alert slider on the right side.

‘In 2018, we became the first in the industry to release a smartphone with a four-curved, matte-frosted glass back...While we were extremely happy with our matte-frosted glass, we didn't stop there. We kept exploring, improving, and trying new things. The result? A new smooth matte surface with a brilliant metallic radiance, and we're excited to be introducing this new finish on our upcoming flagship,’ Lau wrote on the official OnePlus forum.
Previous leaks have suggested that the smartphone will ship with a full-HD+ 6.4-inch display. Under the hood, the phone is expected to come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset, which is an overclocked version of Snapdragon 855. The OnePlus 7T and the OnePlus 7T Pro are the successors of the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro that were launched earlier this year.
The OnePlus 7 Pro smartphone features a 48MP rear camera and a motorised selfie shooter. The device was launched in three variants -- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage that is priced Rs 48,999, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage for Rs 52,999 and top-of-the-line 12GB RAM + 256GB storage for which users have to shell out Rs 57,999. The OnePlus 7 Pro sports a 90Hz curved edge-to-edge display with quad-HD+ AMOLED display and HDR10/HDR10+ support. The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and has a 4,000mAh battery with Warp Charge 3.0 support.
