Expanding its mid-segment smartphone portfolio, HMD Global has launched two phones, the Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2. HMD Global, the Finnish company that sells Nokia-branded phones, has also added the military-grade Nokia 800 Tough and Nokia 2720 Flip to its feature phone line-up. Currently, these phones are unveiled in Europe and there is no information when these phones will come to India.

The USP of the Nokia 7.2 is its 48MP triple camera system with Zeiss Optics. The 48MP camera come with a lens sporting an aperture of f/1.79, an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front is a 20MP camera. The camera features the Quad Pixel technology, which combines four adjacent pixels into one large size pixel for sharper images with a wider dynamic range than usual. The phone comes with ZEISS bokeh styles available in portrait mode and allows for both foreground and background blur to mimic the natural optical bokeh. The Nokia 7.2 also brings advanced low-light imaging with night mode by using AI low light image fusion technology.
The Nokia 7.2 sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ PureDisplay with HDR10 support. The display features a waterdrop notch and it is protected by the Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset and is paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. The storage can be upgraded up to 512GB. The handset packs a 3,500mAh battery, a 3.5mm jack and a Type-C port. The smartphone runs Android 9 out-of-the-box.
The Nokia 6.2 features the same 6.3-inch Full HD+ PureDisplay with HDR10 support and waterdrop notch. Unlike the Nokia 7.2, the Nokia 6.2 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset under the hood. The SoC is paired with up to 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage, which can be expanded to up to 512GB. In the camera department, the handset features a triple rear camera setup with a 16MP sensor coupled with an f/1.8 lens, an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP camera. The phone draws power from a 3,500mAh battery and ships with Android 9.

As mentioned, the company also expanded its feature phone portfolio to address new network and market categories. The Nokia 800 Tough is the first rugged Nokia phone from HMD Global and comes with Google Assistant, WhatsApp, 4G and more. With the Nokia 800 Tough, HMD Global is expanding its offering to reach B2B segments and enterprise customers, where durable handsets are required. The company says that the Nokia 800 Tough has been designed to withstand extreme temperatures.
The Nokia 2720 Flip features a compact form factor and integrated AI technology. It also comes with with WhatsApp and Facebook, and an emergency button as well as an ICE (In Case of Emergency) information menu. The Nokia 110 features an MP3 player, camera and an FM radio. The Nokia 110 also comes pre-loaded with your games like the classic Snake.
Apart from these phones, HMD Global also launched True Wireless Nokia Power Earbuds. The latest member to the True Wireless Earbuds family ship with a portable charging case, which is said to charge up to 30 times for up to 150 hours of playback in total. The earbuds have 6mm graphene drivers and they are also waterproof for up to 30 minutes at 1-meter depth.
The Nokia 7.2 comes in Cyan Green, Charcoal and Ice, in 4GB/64GB and 6GB/64GB storage variants. It is priced at 299/349 Euros (approx Rs 23,700 and Rs 27,600) respectively, and will be available from the end of September. The Nokia 6.2 comes in Ceramic Black and Ice, in 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB storage variants for 199/249 Euros (approx Rs 15,700 and Rs 19,700) respectively. Customers in Europe can purchase them from October.
The Nokia 800 Tough comes in Black Steel and Desert Sand and will be available early October for 109 Euros (approx Rs 8,600). The Nokia 2720 Flip comes in Ocean Blue, Black and Pink, and will be available in September at a price point of at 89 Euros (approx Rs 7,000). The Nokia 110 will be available in Ocean Blue, Black and Pink starting mid-September and will retail at $20 (approx Rs 1,400) globally. The Nokia Power Earbuds will come in Charcoal Black and Light Grey colour options and will be available from October for 79 Euros (approx Rs 6,200).
