HMD Global-owned Nokia today announced that the Nokia 5 in 3GB configuration will be exclusively available for a week on Flipkart.com starting November 7, followed by availability in select retail outlets across the country from November 14 onwards.
The 5.2-inch IPS LCD HD display carrying Nokia 5 comes in matte black and tempered blue at Rs 13,499.
Nokia 5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 mobile platform and feature Corning Gorilla Glass to protect the device from accidental bumps. The smartphone runs on Android Nougat operating system with an assured update to Android Oreo in the future.
There is a 13MP phase detection auto focus camera with dual tone flash at the back. At the front, Nokia 5 sports an 8MP, 84-degree wide-angle camera and also comes with biometric fingerprint authentication.
Nokia 5 offers 16 GB internal that can be expanded up to 128GB via micro-SD card slot and houses 3,000mAh battery.
“Nokia 5 has already forged a reputation for being a beautifully crafted phone which punches well above its weight. Now we have added more memory so fans can get enhanced performance in the same precision engineered design,” said Ajey Mehta, Vice President India, HMD Global.
Last month, Nokia introduced Rs 7,500 Nokia 2 smartphone in India that runs on Android Nougat and has Google Assistant, which HMD boasts is the only phone in the segment with an AI-based assistant.
Nokia 2 sports an 8MP rear camera featuring automatic scene detection and auto-focus, and a 5MP front camera. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor paired up with 1GB of RAM.
