Lenovo-owned Motorola Mobility has launched Motorola Razr (2019) that comes with a flexible screen that folds completely in half like a book to give it a traditional Razr look. At the front, the company has added a secondary screen -- Quick View external display, which will allow faster access to notifications, music, Google Assistant, and more.
The Motorola Razr (2019) will be available on sale starting January 9, 2020 in the US with pre-orders starting from December 26. The smartphone will also make its way to India soon, however, the exact date it not yet known. Motorola has created a registration page on its India website wherein interested consumers can sign up to get updates.
In the US, the Motorola Razr price is costs $1,499.99 (approx. Rs 1,07,400).
Speaking of design, the Motorola Razr (2019) looks identical to the original Motorola Razr. Apart from a curved bottom chin, everything else has been redesigned. The phone is now water repellent. The smartphone comes with a 6.2-inch flexible OLED HD+ (876x2142 pixels) screen offering an aspect ratio of 21:9. When the device is in folded position, Motorola says there is no gap between the two halves of the screen. Consumers can access the secondary 2.7-inch (600x800 pixels) Quick View display when the screen is folded to take selfies, view notifications and control music playback.
According to Motorola, the smartphone uses an advanced flexible OLED screen technology and a ground-breaking hinge mechanism that allows the phone to close with both sides perfectly flush.
There is a single 16MP f/1.7 primary camera on the device that also acts as selfie camera. There is also a dedicated Night Vision mode in the camera app to click photos in low-light environments. Additionally, there is an 5MP camera present in the main display notch that can be used to take selfies when you don't want to close the phone. The smartphone runs on stock Android 9 Pie. And is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM, and has a 2,510mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging.
