Expanding its Android One smartphone line-up, Motorola has launched the Motorola One Zoom at IFA 2019. The USP of the phone is its quad camera system on the back, and with this setup it has joined the league of handsets, like the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+, which sport four rear cameras. Motorola One Zoom’s camera offers a 3x optical zoom and 10x hybrid zoom support and a 48MP primary sensor. Additionally, the Lenovo-owned brand has also unveiled its entry-level smartphone, the Moto E6 Plus, with a dual-camera system.
Both the phones are launched in select markets and the details about the India launch are yet to be known. The Motorola One Zoom is now available in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and other Latin American countries at a starting price of 429 Euros (approx Rs 34,000). The phone will debut in Europe from September 6, and in the US, an unlocked version of the handset can be purchased for $449.99 (approx Rs 32,500). The company has offered a choice of Brushed Bronze, Cosmic Purple, and Electric Grey colours.
The Motorola One Zoom sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ OLED Max Vision display that offers a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The display has a 2.5D Panada King glass protection, and on the back, it sports a 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, the handset has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor which is coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage.
When it comes to camera, the handset has a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture lens, a 16MP wide-angle lens with 117 degrees field of view, an 8Mp telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom support and a 5MP depth sensor. One the front is a 25MP sensor (pixel binning) with f/2.0 aperture lens. The Motorola One Zoom runs Android 9.0 Pie, and a 4,000mAh battery (with 15W fast charging) keeps the phone’s lights on. It phone ships with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Moto E6 Plus comes equipped with a 6.1-inch HD+ Max Vision IPS panel with water drop notch, and offers 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 720x1560 pixels resolution. The handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset and is offered in 2GB/4GB RAM options, and 32GB/64GB onboard storage choices. The entry-level smartphone comes with a dual rear camera setup -- a first in this series. There is a 13MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture lens and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the phone comes equipped with an 8MP sensor with a lens having f/2.0 aperture. The phone houses a 3,000mAh battery and the fingerprint sensor is located on the back panel.
