Motorola Edge 50 Ultra Launched in India at Rs 49,999, Gets Super 1.5K pOLED Display, 125W TurboPower Adaptor and More

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra runs on Android 14-based Hello UI out-of-the-box, and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 in-built storage.

Motorola has launched its new flagship smartphone – the Edge 50 Ultra – in India. It joins the Edge 50 and Edge 50 Pro as the most premium offering in Motorola's Edge 50 lineup. Priced at Rs 59,999, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra comes in a single 12GB + 512GB variant in the country. The smartphone will go on sale on June 24 through Flipkart, where you can avail of a flat discount of Rs 5,000 bringing down the price to Rs 54,999. Moreover, Motorola is offering an introductory discount of Rs 5000, reducing the price further to Rs 49,999. There are three colour options to choose from: Nordic Wood, Peach Fuzz, and Forest Grey. 

The biggest talking point of the smartphone is its wooden rear panel (Nordic Wood) exuding a pleasant fragrance. The handset is also offered in vegan leather finishes. It runs on Android 14-based Hello UI out-of-the-box, and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 in-built storage. The former can be expanded.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra: Display 

The display is a Super 1.5K pOLED screen measuring 6.7 inches in size. It has HDR10+ certification, a 144Hz refresh rate, a 360Hz touch rate in gaming mode, DC Dimming, and a peak brightness of 2500 nits. It is also certified for Netflix HD streaming, Amazon HD streaming, GS Low Blue Light, SGS Low Motion Blur, and Pantone Skintone Validated. On top of that, it offers over a billion shades of colour with 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour space. 

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra: Camera

There is a quad-camera setup at the back, consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide angle lens with macro vision, a 64-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a laser autofocus sensor. On the front, the phone sports a 50-megapixel lens with AI-powered features. 

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra: Battery, Charging

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is equipped with a 4500mAh battery promising up to 40 hours of usage. The battery supports 125W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W wireless power sharing. The 125W TurboPower adapter is said to offer a day's charge in 7 minutes. 

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra: Security Features, Connectivity Options

Security features onboard are an in-display fingerprint reader and face unlock feature, in addition to ThinkShield and Moto Secure for advanced protection. For connectivity, you get 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. Other notable bits include dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, 3D Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, and an IP68 rating for dust and splash resistance.

The handset measures 161.09 x 72.38 x 8.59mm and tips the scales at 197 grams.
