Motorola has launched the Edge 50 Pro, a successor to the Edge 40 Pro, in India. Offered in two variants – 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro ranges from Rs 31,999 to Rs 35,999. However, an instant discount of Rs 2,250 on HDFC Bank credit/debit card or up to Rs 2,000 exchange bonus enables you to get the base variant at Rs 29,999. Meanwhile, the top-spec 12GB RAM variant can be had at Rs 33,999. What's more, a limited introductory offer of Rs 2,000 further brings down the price to Rs 27,999 for the 8GB RAM variant and Rs 31,999 for the 12GB RAM.
The brand-new Motorola Edge 50 Pro comes in three colour options – Black Beauty, Luxe Lavender, and Moonlight Pearl. The latter is a limited edition handcrafted by Mazzucchelli 1849, the Italian design house. It will be available for purchase through Flipkart, Motorola online store, and select retail stores on April 8, whereas the other two variants will go on sale starting April 9.
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro, the company's newest flagship product in the country, is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC and features the Pantone-validated camera and display. The AI-backed camera setup consists of a 50-megapixel 2μm AI-powered primary camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide sensor with 50x hybrid zoom, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and 30x hybrid zoom. Besides, Motorola offers a 50-megapixel selfie camera at the front with autofocus. The user experience can be enhanced with the help of AI adaptive stabilisation, advanced long exposure, a tilt-shift mode, and an AI photo enhancement engine.
As for the battery specifications, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro is equipped with a 4,500mAh unit, which is compatible with 125W wired and 50W wireless charging. Weighing 186 grams, the phone runs on Hello UI based on Android 14 and claims three years of OS updates and four years of security patches. It additionally gets an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
A 6.7-inch, 144Hz, 1.5k curved pOLED display with 2,000 nits peak brightness offers a clear and bright display experience. It also gets HDR10+, 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and SGS-certified blue light protection.
