Motorola has announced that its new budget 5G smartphone – the Moto G45 – will be launched on August 21 in India. Expected to slot below the company's Moto G64 5G device, the upcoming Moto G45 5G should come in at a more affordable price. For your reference, the Moto G64 5G currently starts at Rs 13,999 in India.
The Moto G45 5G will go on sale at noon IST on Flipkart, which offers a good look at the phone's ultra-premium design. The new G45 has a vegan leather back panel, which can be seen in three colours (Green, Red, Blue). Since the product page only mentions an 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, there is a possibility that Motorola might launch the G45 in a single configuration only. According to leaks, the Moto G45 5G will get LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Plus, Motorola could ship the phone with a microSD card for more storage.
The Moto G45 5G will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, a chipset similar to the Snapdragon 695. The latter combines two Cortex-A78 computing cores with six Cortex-A55 computing cores. Besides, the new G45 phone will support 13 5G bands, in turn offering ultra-fast 5G connectivity and uninterrupted downloading and streaming.
The display will be an FHD+ IPS LCD panel measuring 6.5 inches. It will come with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a 120Hz refresh rate. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner will also be on offer for security, while features such as Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, and Smart Connect will provide an immersive multimedia experience. For those unaware, Smart Connect enables phones to seamlessly integrate with other devices such as laptops, tablets, and PCs.
While the dual rear camera setup is confirmed to include a 50-megapixel quad-pixel primary sensor, market reports suggest that the G45 will feature a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. Other confirmed bits include a speaker, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.

The battery details are yet to be revealed, but we expect the G45 to pack a 5,000 mAh battery pack with fast charging support.
