Motorola has launched its new budget 5G smartphone – the Moto G45 – in India. The Moto G45 is a successor to the Moto G34 and is positioned below the Moto G64 (Rs 13,999) in the company's G lineup. Motorola brings the Moto G45 in two configurations: 4GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB. The former is priced at Rs 10,999, while the latter sets you back by Rs 12,999. Both variants can be purchased from Flipkart, Motorola.in, and select retail stores, with sales commencing on August 28. Axis Bank and IDFC First Bank cardholders can avail of an instant discount of Rs 1,000 on the purchase.
Design-wise, the new G45 has a vegan leather back panel, which is available in Brilliant Blue, Brilliant Green, and Viva Magenta shades. The back panel houses a dual-camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel quad-pixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. At the front, there is a 16-megapixel shooter for selfies and video chats.
The Moto G45 5G uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, a chipset similar to the Snapdragon 695. The latter combines two Cortex-A78 computing cores with six Cortex-A55 computing cores. As expected, the Moto G45 5G is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The internal storage is expandable to 1TB through a microSD card slot. Plus the new G45 phone supports 13 5G bands, in turn offering ultra-fast 5G connectivity and uninterrupted downloading and streaming. The Moto G45 5G runs on Android 14-based MyUX custom skin
The display is an FHD+ IPS LCD panel measuring 6.5 inches. It comes with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a peak brightness of 500nits, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner is also on offer for biometrics authentication, while features such as Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, and Smart Connect will provide an immersive multimedia experience. For those unaware, Smart Connect enables phones to seamlessly integrate with other devices such as laptops, tablets, and PCs. Other bits include a 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers, FM Radio, and a USB Type-C port.

The G45 packs a large 5,000 mAh battery with 18W wired fast charging support. It has an IP52 rating for splash and dust resistance.
