The bottom right corner is home to an indicator light that remains red in standby mode. The entire TV sits on two grey stands splayed outwards on both sides that holds the TV securely. You can also mount the TV on the wall without the stand. The five physical buttons for power on, volume up/down, channels, input selection are housed at bottom right corner. Performance
The TV is powered by dual core 1.4GHz processor and comes with 1GB memory and flash storage of up to 8GB. Furthermore, the TV run on Android version 4.4 and has features such as Wi-Fi, LAN connectivity, and screencast.
To review the image quality, we watched plethora of full-HD movies, sound tracks and also connected the TV with Amazon Fire TV Stick. To test the black levels, we streamed the Gravity movie and the TV produced good level of black in some of the darker areas. The transition from one image/scene to another was seamless without any hint of lag or producing blurred images. Overall the picture looked soothing and comfortable to eyes without extending any stress.
When we watched the TV from sides, the colours were not uniform and looked slightly distorted. The screen performs better if you are directly in front.
The remote control, however big, is easy to use and has direct buttons for switching to YouTube, Netflix, Hotstar. The on-screen TV menus are also clear and easy to navigate.
The audio produced from the TV speakers is more than enough for movies and movies. But, if you are bass heavy, or want to convert the TV into a home theatre system, we recommend you to invest in an external speaker or a sound bar with this TV.
Conclusion
At a price of 43,990, the Kodak 55-inch UHD Smart TV greets you with a large screen with a picture quality that tries to match some of the high-end ones.
