iQOO, a subsidiary of Vivo, has confirmed that it will launch the Z9x 5G smartphone in India on May 16. While the company has yet to reveal its specifications and features, we expect the iQOO Z9x 5G to offer what the China-spec smartphone gets. Overseas, it comes in three storage variants – 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB, priced at 1,149 CNY (roughly Rs 13,300), 1,249 CNY (around Rs 14,450), and 1,449 CNY (roughly Rs 16,760), respectively. Upon arrival in India, the iQOO Z9x will be available for purchase on Amazon. Now, we take a close look at what to expect from this yet-to-launch smartphone.
The India-spec smartphone is expected to sport the same 6.72-inch FullHD+ display as the China-spec model. This will translate to a 1260x2800 pixels resolution, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits.

The iQOO Z9x 5G will likely use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS2.2 onboard storage. The internal storage can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card. One can also expect the same 6,000mAh battery, which offers 44W fast charging support in China. The phone runs on Android 14-based FunTouch OS.
Camera-wise, we expect the iQOO Z9x to feature an 8-megapixel sensor (with f/2.5 aperture) for selfies and video calls, as well as a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor (with f/1.8 aperture) and a 2-megapixel depth sensor (with f/2.4 aperture).
Other bits could come in the form of Bluetooth 5.1, Stereo speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for unlocking your phone. In China, it comes in three colour options: Dark Night, Feng Yuqing, and Starburst White.

Upon arrival in India, the iQOO Z9x 5G will join the iQoo Z9 5G in the lineup. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC, the iQoo Z9 5G is on sale at a starting price of Rs 19,999.
