Vivo sub-brand iQOO has added two new smartphones to its Z9 lineup – Z9s and Z9s Pro. Both smartphones feature a slim design with a 3D curved AMOLED display, offering what the company says is the segment-leading performance. The standard iQOO Z9s ranges from Rs 19,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant to Rs 23,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant. Between the two sits the 8GB + 256GB variant, which costs Rs 21,999. The Z9s goes on sale on August 29 in Onyx Green and Titanium Matte colour options.
On the other hand, the Z9s Pro starts at Rs 24,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and goes up to Rs 28,999 for the 16GB + 256GB variant. The mid-spec 8GB + 256GB variant sets you back by Rs 26,999. The Z9s Pro will be available for purchase on August 23, and the colour options are Flamboyant Orange and Luxe Marble. With up to Rs 3,000 instant discount on their purchase, the Z9s and the Z9s Pro can be had at a starting price of Rs 17,999 and Rs 21,999, respectively. Both models will be available through Amazon and iQOO's online portal.
Underneath the skin, the iQOO Z9s gets a Dimensity 7300 processor, whereas the Z9s Pro is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. Both devices are paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of internal storage. They run on Android 14-based Funtouch OS, with two years of OS upgrades.
The iQOO Z9s series of smartphones offers a 6.7-inch 3D curved AMOLED panel with an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 387ppi pixel density. The Z9s gets a 1,800nits peak brightness, whereas the Pro offers clearer outdoor visibility with a peak brightness of 4,500nits.
Both devices come with a dual rear camera setup, with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 with OIS support being a primary sensor. Whereas the Z9s has a 2-megapixel portrait lens, the Z9s Pro flaunts an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie shooter on offer.
What also differentiates the smartphones is their design. The Z9s has a pill-shaped camera island housing camera sensors as well as Aura light LED. Meanwhile, the Z9s Pro features a squircle (rounded square) camera island, similar to the one on the flagship iQOO 12.
While a 5,500mAh battery powers the iQOO Z9s series, the Z9s Pro tops out at 80W. The base Z9s supports 44W fast charging tech. AI-driven features being offered with both devices include AI Erase and AI Photo Enhance, while connectivity options are 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
