Following the arrival of the Z9x 5G on the Indian market, iQOO has now launched the Z9 5G smartphone at Rs 10,499. With an instant discount available on select bank cards, the smartphone becomes more affordable by Rs 500. The device can be had in either a 4GB+128GB or a 6GB+128GB configuration. The latter is priced at Rs 11,499; however, an early bird offer will bring this price down to Rs 10,999. Starting July 20, the iQOO Z9 will go on sale through the company's online portal and Amazon in the following colour options – Aqua Flow and Mocha Brown.
Like modern-day smartphone requirements, the iQOO Z9 features a sleek design, a big 5,000mAh battery, and a high-quality Sony camera. Per iQOO, 'The iQOO Z9 Lite 5G is designed for Gen Z and students, offering robust performance and stylish design to keep up with their dynamic lifestyles.'

Beneath the skin, the iQOO Z9 has an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset with up to 6GB LPDDR4x of RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. The latter can be expanded up to 1TB using an SD card. The device runs on Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14 while also promising two years of Android OS upgrades and three years of security fixes.
The display is an LCD panel measuring 6.56 inches. It gets a 90Hz refresh rate, a 120Hz touch sampling rate, an 89.64 per cent screen-to-body ratio, and a resolution of 1612x720 pixels. It also supports 16.7 million colours.
For optics, the iQOO Z9 sports a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel bokeh lens. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter, also suitable for video chats. The device also offers different modes: Night, Portrait, Panorama, and Time-lapse.
The iQOO Z9 is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 5, up to 5G network, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. For security, you get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
In terms of dimensions, the device measures 163.63mm in height, 75.58mm in width, and 8.39mm in thickness. It tips the scales at 185 grams and is IP64-rated for dust and water resistance.
