China's Huawei has reportedly filed a patent for a smartphone which will come with a rotating triple camera setup mechanism, similar to what we have seen in the Asus 6Z and Galaxy A80.

Chinese tech giant Huawei has reportedly filed a patent for a smartphone design that will have a rotating camera mechanism similar to what we have seen on the ASUS 6z and Samsung A80.

This Huawei smartphone will have a total of three cameras at the back. The patent is published by the World Intellectual Property Office on December 17, 2019. The camera will be able to flip 180-degree, allowing you to use it as both the rear camera and the selfie camera. Apart from a primary sensor, there will also be an ultrawide camera and a depth sensor.

Huawei Triple Camera Phone

In November, Huawei was reported to be working on a new smartphone that will come with rotating camera tech. Called P Smart Z 2020, the smartphone will succeed the P Smart Z 2019 that came with a retractable camera. While the P Smart Z 2020 was reported to have a dual flip camera, the unnamed new phone will have a total of three cameras. Its highly likely that the new smartphone will only be P Smart Z 2020 and will come with triple flip camera instead of two. Apart from this, the P Smart Z 2020 is expected to come with a physical fingerprint scanner and an LED unit towards the back.

Also, the company is expected to launch the upgraded version of the Mate X – the Mate Xs at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020. The Mate Xs will feature the latest Kirin 990 chipset, which will bring faster performance, energy efficiency, AI capabilities, and photography, offering better experiences to a more extensive group of 4G smartphone users. Kirin 990 (5G) will enable end users to access superb 5G connectivity experience one step ahead in the first year of 5G commercialisation.

The Mate Xs will be identical to the Mate X in size, however, expect a far better screen and hinge along with Bluetooth 5.x and NFC support.
