Honor India has launched its first phone in the sub-Rs 20,000 price bracket. Called the 200 Lite, the new phone now joins the Honor 200 5G and the Honor 200 Pro 5G in the lineup. While the launch price stands at Rs 17,999 for the single 8GB + 256GB configuration, early birds can get it at Rs 15,999 using their SBI debit/credit cards. Sales of the Honor 200 Lite will commence on September 27 through Amazon, the Explore Honor website, and select retail stores. For Amazon Prime members, the 200 Lite will be available for purchase starting 12 am on September 26.
The Honor 200 Lite gets a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor underneath its surface. The processor comes paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, while the battery is a 4,500mAh unit with 35W fast charging. The RAM can be expanded up to an extra 8GB. The device runs on Android 14-based MagicOS 8.0 out-of-the-box.

The Honor 200 Lite houses a 6.7-inch AMOLED display
that offers a peak brightness of 2000 nits. Looking at the pictures of the phone, the phone seems to have slim and uniform bezels. The device also has a 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut which basically helps in delivering an ultra-wide range of colors.
As with the existing Honor 200 series, the highlight of the new Lite version is its camera. It features a 108-megapixel AI portrait camera on the rear, which is coupled with a 5-megapixel wide and depth camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. It has a 50-megapixel selfie camera. The highlight, as per Honor’s marketing content, remains to be the portrait camera on the phone. It sports different portrait focal lengths. Honor calls them 1x Environmental Portrait, 2x Atmospheric Portrait, and 3x Close-up Portrait.
