HMD Global has launched the Fusion smartphone in India, powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. The smartphone is priced at Rs 17,999 and features "Smart Outfits" technology, designed to personalise user experiences based on their lifestyle needs. It offers a modern design, efficient performance, improved battery optimisation, and enhanced connectivity. The device also includes a versatile camera setup, making it suitable for photography enthusiasts. Aimed at providing a balance of functionality and style, the HMD Fusion targets the mid-range smartphone segment at a competitive price. With its focus on performance and user-centric features, the device is set to make its mark in the Indian market.

The HMD Fusion is priced at Rs 17,999 and includes complimentary HMD Casual, Flashy, and Gaming outfits worth Rs 5,999.

The phone will be offered at a special discounted price of Rs 15,999 for a limited period, available exclusively on Amazon. However, the brand has not specified how long this introductory offer will last. The smartphone will officially go on sale starting November 29 at 12:01 PM on Amazon and HMD’s official website.

HMD Fusion: Specs and Features

The HMD Fusion introduces "Smart Outfits" to expand its functionality. The gaming outfit enhances control during gameplay, while the flashy outfit includes a foldable RGB LED ring for improved selfies. These accessories connect to the phone via six smart pins. It operates on Android 14, with a guarantee of two years of OS updates and three years of security patches.

The device features a 6.56-inch HD+ display (720 x 1,612 pixels) with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 600 nits. Furthermore, it houses a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

For photography, the Fusion includes a dual-camera setup with a 108MP primary sensor supported by EIS and a 2MP depth sensor, while the front-facing camera offers a 50MP sensor for selfies. The second-generation repairable design allows users to replace components like the battery, charging port, or display with a simple screwdriver.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, USB Type-C, and multiple navigation systems (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BDS). The phone also features various sensors, including a gyroscope, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor, along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock capability. The 5,000mAh battery supports 33W fast charging and is designed to last through more than 800 charge cycles. The device measures 164.15 x 75.5 x 8.32mm and weighs 202.5 gm.
