With Marvel Studios’ ‘Avengers: Endgame’ movie just around the corner, Google has added Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Nebula and Okoye in Playground, a creative mode in the Pixel camera that gives you the power to create and play with the world around you using augmented reality.
‘We’re adding to our collection of Playmoji from the Marvel Cinematic Universe with five new characters: War Machine, Thor, Black Widow, Rocket and Captain Marvel,’ Google said in a blog post.
Now you can make epic scenes come to life by adding these interactive characters to your photos and videos. Thanks to ARCore’s motion tracking, light estimation and ability to understand the real world, the Playmoji look and feel lifelike, and react to your facial expressions in real time.
For some added fun, the company has reimagined the Marvel Cinematic Universe by exploring what would happen if Pixel 3 was launched into a world in need of a little assistance, alongside the Avengers.
Google has also released a video ad as part of this announcement. From the very beginning of the video, a cab driver comes to a stop when his Google Assistant reveals a ’23-hour shutdown’ on his route. The cab driver looks up and comments that it's 'aliens again' before being rerouted.
A user in the ad uses Assistant to click a selfie via voice command while another user captures a short video of Iron Man.
