Google's mid-range Pixel 4a has surfaced multiple times over the internet in the last few months. However, Google has kept its lips sealed on the launch date of its mid-tier smartphone. Last month, we reported that the upcoming Pixel 4a will have a square camera module like the Pixel 4. This time around, some leaked documents at Vodafone Germany suggest the smartphone will be launched on May 22 in Germany.
Unlike the flagship Pixel 4, which never made its way to the Indian market, the Pixel 4a is expected to hit the Indian soil as the brand's only smartphone for this year. The timing for the Pixel 4a launch couldn't have been more perfect, given Apple also just launched its mid-tier smartphone, the iPhone SE a few days back.
As per the previous leaks, expect the Pixel 4a to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. Unlike the Pixel 4, the 4a will sport a single 12MP shooter on the back and an 8MP selfie shooter at the front. It will also come with a dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack. Moreover, it is expected to be powered by a 3,080mAh battery, which can be charged via a USB-C port. It will, of course, run on the latest version of Android 10.
