Chinese tech players Xiaomi and OnePlus have announced that they are doing well during the ongoing festive season sale on Flipkart and Amazon. Xiaomi has announced that it has sold about 10 devices per second in the first few hours of sale on different online platforms. OnePlus, on the other hand, said that it has sold gadgets worth Rs 500 crore by Day 2 of the sale on the partner e-commerce platform.
Xiaomi sales
Xiaomi claims that it has achieved sales of over 1.5 million devices in the first few hours through Diwali With Mi on mi.com, The Big Billion Days on Flipkart, and Great Indian Shopping Festival on Amazon. The majority of sold items are smartphones, followed by Mi Ecosystem devices, Mi Band(s), Mi Power Banks, Mi Earphones, and Mi TVs.
‘This year we launched several new Mi TVs, Redmi 8A and attractive offers on Redmi Note 7 series, Redmi 7, Redmi 7A, etc. Our festive sales have kicked off to an amazing start where we have sold over 1.5 million devices across all online platforms. We are thrilled and equally humbled by all the love we received from our customers and Mi Fans across India. We hope these Xiaomi purchases usher in the festive cheer for everyone,’ Raghu Reddy, Head of Categories and Online sales, Xiaomi India, said in a statement.
OnePlus sales
OnePlus claims that it has recorded a revenue of Rs 500 crore by Day 2 of the Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale. It also says that the company has again emerged as the best-selling technology brand in the premium segment with over 100 per cent growth as compared to the previous year. The company also claimed that the recently-unveiled OnePlus 7T and the OnePlus TV 55Q1 registered the highest-ever sales in the premium smartphone category and the TV category, respectively, on the e-commerce platform.
‘The new OnePlus 7T and our OnePlus TVs are a result of our continued focus on building products that offer our community the perfect balance of performance and design. We’re honoured by the overwhelming response received, as this stands testament to the highest level of customer satisfaction and the strong trust in our brand. India is one of our most important markets, and we will strive to ensure an unparalleled, superior experience for our users,’ Vikas Agarwal, General Manager, OnePlus India, added. OnePlus officially unveiled the OnePlus 7T and the OnePlus TV at an event in New Delhi last week.
