Dell Technologies will be displaying its new products and software across its premium Latitude, XPS and displays portfolios which feature artificial intelligence (AI) and 5G. The company has launched Latitude 9510, the 15-inch 5G-ready business PC with built-in AI, XPS 13 with first-ever 4-sided InfinityEdge display and a Developer Edition of the XPS 13.
According to Tom Mainelli, Group Vice President, Devices and Consumer, IDC, there is an increasing percentage of new employees that are choosing jobs based on the devices employers offer. Dell Technologies wants to tap into this segment with its Latitude 9510 laptop, which is claimed to offer the longest battery life of any 15-inch business PC with a target of up to 30 hours, 5G-ready design and powerful audio features.
The Latitude 9510 is said to be the world’s smallest and lightest commercial 15-inch PC that weighs 3.2 pounds. It has Intel Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) and 5G mobile broadband capabilities. The design incorporates 5G antennas into the speakers to retain the InfinityEdge display, while carbon blade fans and dual heat pipes offer a quiet and cool-to-the-touch experience. To be made available with up to 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processors, the vPro ready Latitude 9510 features a machined-aluminum finish with diamond cut edges.
The new XPS 13 has machined aluminum, carbon fiber, woven glass fiber and hardened Corning Gorilla Glass for durability and lightweight design. It has a large 16:10 display that is 25 per cent brighter as compared to previous generation of laptop. The new design delivers a 13.4-inch display in an 11-inch form factor. Under the hood, the XPS 13 offers 10th Gen Intel Core processors, and it will be available with Windows 10 or the Developer Edition featuring Ubuntu 18.04LTS. The Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition is based on 10th Gen Intel® Core 10nm mobile processors. This laptop will be available with up to 32GB of RAM as well fingerprint-reader support.
Dell Technologies also launched Dell Cinema Guide, a one-stop-shop for searching streaming entertainment. Windows users can download the app and find television shows & movies across more than 200 streaming services within one simple content guide. Dell Mobile Connect will now have wireless transfer and app mirroring capabilities for Android and iOS devices. XPS, Inspiron, Vostro, Alienware and G Series users with iOS phones will be able to directly access mobile apps straight from their Dell PC.
Dell has also launched a number of monitors, including Dell 86 4K Interactive Touch Monitor, UltraSharp 43 4K USB-C Monitor and UltraSharp 27 4K USB-C Monitor with VESA DisplayHDR 400. There is a new Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor that features fast IPS technology, 240Hz refresh rate, 1 millisecond gray-to-gray response time and 99 per cent sRGB colour coverage. It also features AMD Radeon FreeSync technology and is NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible.
XPS 13 will be available in the US, Canada, Sweden, the UK, Germany and France from January 7 and globally in February at a starting price of $999.99. The XPS 13 Developer Edition will be available in the US, Canada and select European countries in February starting at $1,199.99. The Latitude 9510 will be available starting at $1,799.00 from March 26.
Dell Cinema Guide, available to download now on any Windows 10 PC for free via the Microsoft store. Dell Mobile Connect with iOS data transfer and screen mirroring will be available to download for free from the Microsoft Store and come pre-installed on all Dell consumer systems this spring.
Dell 86 4K Interactive Touch Monitor (C8621QT) will available globally April 10, the Dell UltraSharp 43 4K USB-C (U4320Q) will be available at $1,049.99 from January 30 and Dell UltraSharp 27 4K USB-C Monitor (U2720Q) can be purchased starting at $709.99 from January 30. The Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor (AW2521HF) is priced at Rs $499.99 and will be available globally on March 11.
