Achieving a new high, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Coolpad has launched Cool Play 6 that comes with 6GB RAM, making it a first device in sub- Rs 15,000 segment to come with such massive RAM.
Priced at Rs 14,999, consumers can purchase the Coolpad Cool Play 6 exclusively on Amazon.in, starting from September 4. The device will come gold and black colours.
The smartphone is powered by 1.95GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor, Adreno 510 GPU and features a 5.5-inch full-HD display, and a fingerprint sensor. In terms of storage, the Coolpad Cool Play 6 offers 64GB of internal storage and sports 13 MP + 13 MP dual camera set up on the rear and a 8MP front camera.
The smartphone offers Bokeh mode and there is also a Night mode to click good quality pictures in low-light environments. Other modes include slow video, mono photo, long exposure, panorama, along with a beauty feature.
The device houses 4,000mAh, non-removable battery which the company claims give a standby time of up to 300 hours. Other connectivity options include support for USB Type-C reversible connector and has dual nano-SIM slots.
Cool Play 6 runs on Android 7.1.1 operating system and the company will introduce Android 8.0 update by December.
Coolpad smartphones have a 25 per cent market share on Amazon in the Rs 8,000 category. The company has a strong offline presence in eight states with 3,000 multi-brand outlets. Coolpad aims to increase its reach to 18 states in the next one year’s time.
