Samsung has announced a new Galaxy Chromebook, a 2-in-1 device that comes with an AMOLED display and built-in-pen support, offering users new ways to take advantage of the Chrome OS experience.
The Galaxy Chromebook comes with a near-infinite screen and a slim 3.9mm bezel and supports 4K UHD resolution for incredible picture quality. The device will be available in Fiesta Red and Mercury Gray colours.
The built-in pen lets you write, draw, and navigate Galaxy Chromebook quickly and efficiently. The device also comes with the Google Assistant support. Co-engineered with Intel as part of the Project Athena innovation programme, the Galaxy Chromebook has passed rigorous testing to achieve the programme’s experience targets and hardware specifications, ensuring it to consistently deliver the high-quality performance needed by business professionals.
The Galaxy Chromebook is powered by the latest 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor along with Intel Wi-Fi 6. Thanks to Google Drive functionality, files automatically sync across Android devices, which means that you can access all your documents, all the time and that you never have to worry about being away from your computer or leaving your phone at home.
The device also supports Click-to-Call and Messaging apps, so you can use all your Samsung smartphone features directly on your laptop.
‘For years, students have come to love Chrome OS in classrooms around the world, but today, Chromebooks are being used for so much more by the younger generation and working-professionals alike. As we see the demand for premium Chromebook experiences rise, we are investing more and more with partners like Samsung to build the next generation of flagship Chromebook product innovations and offerings,’ said Kan Liu, Senior Director of Product Management at Google.
The Galaxy Chromebook will be available in Fiesta Red and Mercury Gray in Q1 2020, starting at $999.99.
