Microsoft has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is now available on Game Pass. Starting July 24, this first-person shooter can be accessed on Game Pass for Console, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Ultimate, confirming earlier reports about its addition to the subscription service this month. Released in November last year, Modern Warfare 3 is the first Call of Duty title to join Xbox Game Pass.
The company has also confirmed that the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will also be available on Game Pass later this year. While existing Game Pass subscribers will have access to the game, new members will need to sign up for the Ultimate or PC Game Pass tiers to enjoy day-one access.
This latest move comes after Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard last year, a deal that has generated significant anticipation for the integration of Call of Duty into the Game Pass ecosystem. While Modern Warfare 3 is the first Call of Duty game on the service, it follows in the footsteps of Diablo 4, another Activision Blizzard title that was added to Game Pass earlier this year.
