Apple has launched its latest breed of iPad Pro devices with the A12Z Bionic chip, an Ultra Wide camera, studio-quality mics and LiDAR Scanner for depth-sensing capabilities. The LiDAR Scanner, along with pro cameras, motion sensors, performance, audio, Liquid Retina display and powerful apps makes it one of the leading devices to be recommended for augmented reality (AR) works. With iPadOS 13.4, Apple also brings trackpad support to iPad with multi-touch gestures. There’s also a new Magic Keyboard with a floating design, a backlit keyboard and trackpad for iPad Pro.

The 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro will be available in silver and space grey finishes in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB configurations. The price starts at Rs 71,900 for the Wi-Fi model and Rs 85,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at Rs 89,900 for the Wi-Fi model and Rs 1,03,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model.
The Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro will be available for purchase in May for Rs 27,900 for the 11-inch iPad Pro and Rs 31,900 for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. The second-generation Apple Pencil for iPad Pro is available for Rs 10,900. The new Smart Keyboard Folio for the new iPad Pro is available in Space Grey for Rs 7,500 for the 11-inch iPad Pro and Rs 9,900 for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
iPadOS 13.4 with trackpad support will be available on March 24 as a free software update for all iPad Pro models, iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, and iPad mini 4 and later.
The iPad Pro is powered by A12Z Bionic Chip that is claimed to undertake tasks like editing 4K video or designing 3D models easily. The platform has an eight-core GPU with an enhanced thermal architecture and tuned performance controllers. The eight-core CPU and Neural Engine high performance. Apple claims that the new iPad Pros have up to 10-hour battery life.
Both the models have Liquid Retina display with True Tone, high brightness and an anti-reflective coating. The display features P3 wide colour support, and has ProMotion technology that automatically adjusts the display refresh rate up to 120Hz. The iPads now have two cameras -- a 12MP wide angle camera that can capture 4K video, and a 10MP ultra wide camera. iPad Pro now features five studio-quality microphones for capturing audio, and a four-speaker audio array for sound output.
The LiDAR Scanner enables users to measure the distance to surrounding objects up to 5 metres away and works both indoors and outdoors. The depth frameworks combine depth points measured by the LiDAR Scanner, data from both cameras and motion sensors. The LiDAR Scanner also improves the Measure app.
The new Magic Keyboard attaches magnetically to iPad Pro. It has cantilevered hinges that allow adjustments of the viewing angle up to 130 degrees. The Magic Keyboard features USB-C pass-through charging. Apple also launched the second generation of Apple Pencil as well.
