There is an exciting news for music lovers. A new feature from Apple Music makes it easier for customers to switch between streaming services by allowing playlists to be transferred to YouTube Music without any hassle. This option, which can be accessed via Apple's Data and Privacy page, makes it simpler for users to move playlists without losing any data from their active Apple Music account. To take advantage of this new feature, customers must have an active subscription to Apple Music or iTunes Match and an active YouTube Music account. Users can only move playlists that they have created collaboratively or independently. This process does not allow for the transfer of music files or the folders that house playlists.

The specifics of Apple's newly introduced playlist transfer feature are available on the company's support page. According to the tech giant, users can use the Data and Privacy page to request the transfer of their Apple Music playlists to YouTube Music.
As mentioned before, users need to have both an active YouTube Music account and an active subscription to Apple Music or iTunes Match to transfer playlists. Apple's support document states that while uploading a playlist usually takes a few minutes, it can take many hours, depending on how many playlists there are and how big they are. Currently, the company only allows users to transfer playlists that users have created themselves. This includes any collaborative playlists a user has. Non-collaborative shared playlists, curated playlists, and music files cannot be transferred. The folders containing the Apple Music playlists cannot be moved as well. Moreover, only songs that are accessible on YouTube Music may be incorporated into the playlists that are being transferred. No audiobooks, podcasts, or exclusive music will be included.
