There have been a lot of rumours about the upcoming Apple iPhone 9, the successor to the iPhone SE from 2016. Several media reports claimed that the smartphone was supposed to be launched in March, but according to the latest development, the handset may debut on April 15. Further, it is reported that in an internal meeting, the company has also decided to make the phone available from April 22.
The news comes at a time when tech giants have cancelled their in-person and online launch events. In this case, it's unclear whether the company will hold an online event or will simply announce the launch through a press release. The iPhone 9 is expected to have a design like iPhone 8 and internals of the latest iPhone 11 Series. It is said to have a capacitive Touch ID sensor and a single camera on the back.
The iPhone 9 is said to be priced at $399, which is approximately Rs 30,000. If it turns out to be true, this will further heat up the Rs 30,000-Rs 40,000 smartphone market. Players like OnePlus, Samsung, Google, and Xiaomi are looking to launch their offerings that fall in this category in coming days. OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 8 Series and Google is preparing to unveil the rumoured Pixel 4a.
